Pattaya Beach – Dongtan Beach-

So people, well rested I am now at the breakfast buffet and take of course only the usual to me, what use it is to lie on the beach with full stomach, there I want to be relaxed and relax.

I inquire at the hotel reception about the possibilities of the transfer to the individual beaches, a motorbike seems to me first too dangerous, because here left-hand traffic prevails and I would like to make myself first of all an impression over the driving behavior of the Thais and here in Pattaya is already a lot on the roads.

I decide to take a Baht Taxi, which is a box van with benches on the loading area, the routine route to Jomtien.
takes about 15 minutes, depending on the traffic, I am in central Pattaya.

On it goes, ascended and already begins the adventurous journey, well, sometimes it becomes also slow, depending upon traffic.
Arrived at Dongtan Beach, I descend and give the driver 20 Thaibaht, he is satisfied with that, normally the trip would have cost 10 Baht…
I orientate myself at the beach and see a rainbow flag waving in the distance, I have to go there.

The beach is one of several, relatively wide and very long, it is overgrown with trees that also provide shade and there are many, many sunbeds and parasols, much too many…
Arrived at the right place I am friendly asked to choose a free couch and of course I want to lie in front, I want sun. And there you shouldn’t overestimate yourself, good cream is the order of the day, I also do, don’t want to lie burnt in the room, no wants to experience even more in the lively Pattaya, especially in the nightlife…
So, furnished and now into the water, well, it’s a bit muddy, it’s probably on the ground, the ground feels a bit muddy, what the hell for a cool down it’s enough, unfortunately there are no showers on the beach…

You are well taken care of here, there is everything, an ashtray at the table, the drinks are well cooled and there is even a menu, the food is ordered in the restaurants on the beach at super reasonable prices.
The day is splashing, the flying merchants with all kinds of things come and go, but they are not pushy, I am careful and don’t buy anything at first, let’s see how the other beach guests do it, there are surely some who have more experience…
But what I do is a Thai massage, I have already heard and read about it in Germany, shortly afterwards I am approached by a nice young masseur, of course a Thai who offers me his massage arts, I suppose the Thai massage should cost 200 Baht for an hour, that is according to our understanding almost given.I enjoy, after an hour with many small pains during the massage, I get up and am surprised how relaxing such a massage can be, the further process of the day does not bring anything special, one converses with other beach guests and I listen exactly to get as much information as possible as a beginner or newcomer in this country.
Especially I am looking forward to the first evening…
